The Duo

Somewhere Blue is an Americana country duo based in Nashville, comprised of singer/songwriters Brooke Hatala and Noah Pelty. Noah and Brooke first met when performing independently at a writers' round in 2023, where they were introduced by Sarah Morey, a mutual friend. Sarah suggested that they write together, and they set up a session for the following week. Before that first session was over, the two realized that their writing styles and voices blended effortlessly.

And so the duo of Somewhere Blue was born.

Brooke and Noah had their first opportunity to test out their new duo at the Montauk Music Festival, where they were set to play nine shows in three days. At the airport on their way north, Noah turned to Brooke and said "If we make it through this weekend and don't want to kill each other, I think we'll be in this for the long haul."

Sure enough, by the time they were on the plane back, they were ready to start booking shows in Music City.

Somewhere Blue's first single, "Fight This Out," debuted in April 2025, and they're working on releasing a full-length EP. Follow them on social media to be the first to know about upcoming releases!

The Artists

Brooke Hatala

Brooke Hatala is a rising country/rock artist living in Nashville, TN. Originally hailing from Raleigh, NC, she is known for her distinctive raspy tone, which has been compared to Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks and Morgan Wade. Brooke started playing guitar at age 12 and wrote her first song when she was just 14. At age 15 she was a contestant on The Voice, where she earned a blind audition as one of the youngest contestants in the history of the show. She soon caught the attention of music industry professionals in Nashville and began writing and recording with some of the top names in the industry.

In 2021 Brooke was selected to be part of ASCAP’s prestigious GPS program (following Lainey Wilson, Hannah Dasher, Anna Vaus & others), where she was introduced to music publishers as one of ASCAP’s best up-and-coming songwriters. Brooke has opened for Keith Urban, Willie Nelson, Rascal Flats, Sixpence None The Richer and many others, and performs over 80 shows a year. She recently performed at the legendary Bluebird Cafe, where she created an industry buzz as “one to watch.”

Noah Pelty

Noah Pelty is a Nashville-based artist and songwriter. Originally hailing from New York City, he’s lived in Montana, Vermont, and South Carolina, before settling permanently in Nashville in 2020. All of those places informed his music, yielding a culture-rich cocktail of influences.

Though recognizable for his soulful, blues-tinged voice, Pelty spends much of his time writing with/for other up-and-coming artists in Nashville. You can hear his most recent cuts (“Wait and See”, recorded by Lanndon, and “Tame” recorded by Sarah Morey) on all streaming platforms.
